Cervical Spine Alignment Improves Sleep Apnea Symptoms

A 52-year-old patient visited Enticare complaining of persistent daytime fatigue, loud snoring, and morning headaches. A previous sleep study confirmed moderate obstructive sleep apnea. CPAP therapy helped, but symptoms persisted.

During evaluation, clinicians identified chronic cervical spine stiffness and poor neck alignment due to years of desk work and prior whiplash injury. Imaging revealed cervical spine compression affecting airway muscle control.

The patient followed a combined treatment plan including CPAP therapy, cervical spine physical therapy, posture correction, and ergonomic sleep support. Within three months, the patient reported reduced snoring, fewer headaches, improved sleep quality, and higher daytime alertness.

This case highlights how addressing cervical spine health alongside standard sleep apnea treatment can significantly improve patient outcomes.
