Surgery Protocol

Prior Authorization as it pertains to your Surgery

Prior Authorization is a process that many Insurance Providers require before we can schedule you for surgery. They need all medically necessary information as it pertains to your disease state and subsequent scheduling of surgery (even if it’s at your PCP or Referring Physician’s office).

It can take anywhere from 14 to more than 30 days to receive the Authorization or Denial. Our journey can take us through 3 levels of appeal ending with the Insurance Company’s Medical Director speaking to your Surgeon. Each step in this process costs you precious time!

Let’s work together to quickly get this process started!

If you have seen the surgeon and are getting ready to schedule your surgery and have questions please call Kristy @ 480.214.9000 ext. 301
